Presentations with Storytelling

"Since taking it, people buy into my ideas sooner"

Slides packed with information, data without a story and an audience looking at their phones. The problem is almost never PowerPoint: it’s the message. In this course, you’ll learn to lead with the key point, turn data into a story and hold the room’s attention from start to finish.

Ideal for

  • Directors and managers presenting results
  • Sales teams presenting proposals
  • Engineers and technical professionals explaining complex ideas to other teams

What will you practise?

  • 1. Tell your story – The Juicy Ingredients (hero, dragon, oracle and resolution), Batman Moments and The Magic of the Unfinished: a structure that hooks your audience from the first minute.
  • 2. Speak clearly – A Clear, Powerful Headline, Zoom out > in, Long story short and Like Cannelloni: lead with the key point and explain complex ideas in order.
  • 3. Stories beat stats – Data storytelling: turn a table of figures into a message people remember. Magic Phrases that make your words stick.
  • 4. What you say without words – Voice, pauses, tone and gestures: the credibility you convey before you say a word.
  • 5. Handle uncertainty – PPF and STEAL for improvisation, plus techniques for answering tough questions without losing control.

AI in practice

Use AI to turn a report into a story, generate analogies, create images and rehearse your presentation with a simulated audience that asks you tough questions.

  • Data that’s easy to understand and remember.
  • Confidence in front of executives and clients.
  • Strong answers to awkward questions.
